Prophet’s Lovers Foundation thanks Batman for massive Mawlid al-Nabi turnout despite cold and rain

Tens of thousands braved cold temperatures and relentless rain to join the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation in commemorating Mawlid al-Nabi, the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), in Batman on Sunday.
The event, themed “Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad,” showcased a remarkable display of unity and devotion, earning heartfelt thanks from the organizers.
Feyzi Aydın, the Foundation’s Batman Provincial Coordinator, expressed profound gratitude for the turnout, which he said moved the organizing team deeply. “Despite the cold and constant rain, our people stood firm, creating a scene reminiscent of the noble companions’ resolve,” Aydın said, describing the gathering as a powerful testament to faith.
The celebration drew men, women, youth, and elderly attendees, filling the venue with love for the Prophet. Aydın extended appreciation to local media, including journalists, TV, radio, and print outlets, for their dedicated coverage under challenging conditions. He also praised volunteers, donors, and supporters whose contributions ensured the event’s success, from arranging transportation to managing logistics in the rain-soaked environment.
Representatives from political parties and civil society organizations attended, adding significance to the occasion, according to Aydın. Health teams, market contributors, and bazaar volunteers were also recognized for their service to participants.
In an emotional closing, Aydın celebrated the collective effort: “To our selfless volunteers, our social media supporters, and the thousands who stood unwavering in the rain — this is the love of the Prophet, and no rain could stop it.” He thanked all who played a role, from those working behind the scenes to the attendees who made the day unforgettable.
The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation called the event a “living example” of the Ummah’s enduring devotion to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), underscoring the spiritual bond that united Batman’s community despite the elements. (ILKHA)
