Gaza death toll climbs to 66,055 as Israeli aggression continues unabated

The suffering of the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip deepened on Monday, as medical sources confirmed that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli onslaught has risen to 66,055 martyrs, with 168,346 others wounded since the beginning of the genocidal war on October 7, 2023.
In the last 24 hours alone, the occupation forces slaughtered 50 more Palestinians and injured 184 others, with victims rushed to already overwhelmed and collapsing hospitals across the Strip.
Among the most painful tragedies are those seeking food and survival. According to Gaza’s health authorities, five aid-seekers were martyred and 48 others wounded in the past day while simply trying to secure flour and basic necessities for their starving families. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed while attempting to obtain humanitarian aid to 2,571, with over 18,817 wounded — a stark testament to Israel’s deliberate targeting of civilians in their most desperate moments.
The latest figures also highlight the intensification of the aggression since March 18, 2025, when Israel resumed its large-scale offensive. Since then, 13,187 Palestinians have been killed and 56,305 injured, reflecting the systematic and relentless nature of the campaign to annihilate Gaza’s population.
Health officials stressed that the real toll is far higher, as countless victims remain buried beneath rubble and scattered on the streets, unreachable due to the ongoing bombardment and the obstruction of ambulance and civil defense crews by Israeli attacks.
Despite the unimaginable scale of loss, Gaza’s resilience endures. Families mourn their martyrs with dignity, resistance continues to stand firm, and the call for international justice grows louder as Palestinians face the horrors of genocide in real time. (ILKHA)
