Gaza government: More than 40,000 infants face death due to malnutrition

In a written statement issued by the Gaza government's Media Office, it was stated that Israel was carrying out 'full-fledged genocide' with its policy of systematically starving and slowly killing a population of 2.4 million, more than 1.2 million of whom are children.
More than 40,000 infants under the age of one in the Gaza Strip are at risk of losing their lives due to severe malnutrition, according to the statement.
The statement drew attention to the fact that people, especially children and the sick, are losing their lives every day due to hunger and malnutrition, and noted:
"More than 100,000 children and patients are on the brink of a widespread humanitarian disaster due to severe malnutrition. Israel is preventing baby formula, nutritional supplements, frozen meat and fish, cheese and dairy products, and various fruits and vegetables from entering Gaza. The limited amount of aid that is allowed in is mostly stolen, looted, or cannot be distributed safely."
The government pointed out that even though only a few trucks entered in very limited quantities, the occupation deliberately looted these trucks, prevented those who were entitled to them from accessing them safely, and even killed anyone who tried to secure these trucks.
It emphasized that what Israel is doing in Gaza is “death engineering” and that the US and all countries supporting it bear legal and humanitarian responsibility for all of this.“Effective and realistic pressure must be exerted on Israel to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, open the border crossings, and lift the blockade,” the statement said, calling on Arab and Islamic countries, the international community, and United Nations agencies to take action.
The Palestinian Media Office calls on Arab and Islamic countries, the international community, and United Nations organizations to continue condemning this historic crime and to immediately open the border crossings, break the siege, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the cessation of genocide and forced displacement crimes against more than 2.4 million Palestinians who have been living under the most severe genocide and crimes against humanity witnessed in modern times for over 680 days. The World Health Organization (WHO) has strongly condemned the latest Israeli military order demanding the mass evacuation of over one million Palestinians from Gaza City, calling it an unacceptable act of forced displacement that would create a humanitarian catastrophe.
The Global Sumud Flotilla, poised to become the largest maritime humanitarian mission to challenge Israel's blockade of Gaza, has once again delayed its departure from Tunisia's Sidi Bou Said port.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged the Islamic world to adopt a united and resolute stance against the aggressive actions of the Israeli regime, warning that its continued attacks on Muslim nations threaten regional security and stability.
Israel’s latest mass displacement order targeting the entirety of Gaza City is “cruel, unlawful, and inhuman,” Amnesty International warned Wednesday, calling for its immediate cancellation.
