HAKSİAD delegation explores new trade opportunities at international fair in Tehran
A delegation from the Van branch of the Hak Industrialists and Businessmen Association (HAKSİAD), headed by Chairman Mehmet Taşan, recently visited the 32nd International Exhibition of Printing, Packaging, and Related Machinery in Tehran.
The group conducted detailed on-site inspections and sectoral evaluations as part of efforts to boost regional trade ties between Türkiye and Iran.The visit formed part of HAKSİAD Van Branch's broader initiative to revitalize the local economy in eastern Türkiye and open new business avenues for its members. The delegation toured the fair, held from December 23-26 at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground – one of the Middle East's premier exhibition venues.
The event, inaugurated with participation from Iranian deputy ministers, chamber of commerce leaders, and top industry figures, featured over 360 companies from Iran and abroad, representing countries including Türkiye, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, India, and Indonesia.
HAKSİAD members examined cutting-edge innovations in fields such as paper, cardboard, plastics, polymers, and advertising technologies. Accompanied by the association's Tehran representative, the delegation received in-depth briefings on Iran's market dynamics, investment climate, and potential collaboration areas. They also held numerous bilateral discussions with Iranian and international exhibitors to discuss trade partnerships and joint ventures.
Reflecting on the trip, Chairman Mehmet Taşan emphasized the need to incorporate advancements in packaging and machinery into Van's production processes. He stated that the connections made in Tehran would strengthen economic relations and foster lasting bridges between the Turkish and Iranian business communities.
Following a packed schedule of official meetings, industry visits, and fair activities, the delegation returned to Türkiye. Officials expect the outcomes to lead to increased exports and concrete cooperative projects, supporting economic growth in Van and the surrounding region in the months ahead. (ILKHA)
