HÜDA PAR condemns Egypt-Israel $35 billion gas deal amid Gaza crisis
HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) has denounced Egypt’s recent multibillion-dollar energy deal with Israel, labeling it a "moral collapse" while accusing the global order of normalizing "banditry."
In its weekly statement on international issues, the party described the deal as a "grave political and moral collapse" and accused regional countries of complicity in what it calls the ongoing "genocide" in Gaza through starvation, deprivation, and destruction.
The statement comes just days after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on December 17 the approval of the historic deal, valued at approximately 112 billion shekels ($35 billion), to export natural gas from Israel's Leviathan field to Egypt from 2026 through 2040.
Netanyahu hailed it as "the largest gas deal in Israel's history," with significant revenues expected for the state treasury. Egypt, facing declining domestic production and an energy crisis, has defended the agreement as "purely commercial," insisting it has no political implications despite strained relations over the Gaza war.
HÜDA PAR, however, views the timing as egregious. "While genocide is being carried out in Gaza through starvation and deprivation of shelter, Egypt’s signing of its largest-ever natural gas deal with the Zionist terrorist regime represents a grave political and moral collapse," the statement read. It accused Egypt and the United Arab Emirates of sustaining "genocidal policies" through energy and security collaborations, warning that such "normalization" makes regional administrations "complicit in the plunder of resources belonging to the Palestinian people."middleeasteye.net
The party painted a grim picture of conditions in Gaza, where residents face harsh winter conditions amid widespread destruction and aid shortages. "While people in Gaza are dying under cold weather conditions, it is unacceptable for regional countries to become partners in the plunder," it emphasized, adding that those involved "will be held accountable before history."
HÜDA PAR praised Western activists protesting Israel-linked companies, noting they are "paying a heavy price" for demanding justice, which it said exposes the "insincerity" of Western human rights claims. It called for international pressure to release detained protesters and urged the Islamic world to "wake up" and apply "organized and sustained public pressure" as the only force capable of halting the alleged genocide and regional cooperation with Israel.
Trump's Venezuela Remarks Linked to "Bandit Mentality"
The evaluation also critiqued recent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump on Venezuela, accusing him of eyeing the country's vast oil reserves. Trump has escalated pressure, including seizing tankers and demanding the return of allegedly expropriated U.S. assets from decades ago, while linking sanctions to drug trafficking and other issues.
HÜDA PAR described Trump's focus as a "confession" of resource plunder through sanctions and threats. Drawing parallels, it referenced Trump's past recognition of Israeli sovereignty over Syria's Golan Heights, calling such actions "the open trampling of international law" and part of the same "bandit mentality" seen in Palestine, Syria, and Venezuela. The party decried the normalization of resource seizures, urging humanity to unite against it.
Discrimination Against Muslims in India Deemed "State Policy"
Turning to India, HÜDA PAR highlighted a recent incident in Bihar where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar forcibly removed a Muslim female doctor's hijab during an official ceremony, describing it as evidence that anti-Muslim discrimination has become "state policy."
The video of the December 15 event in Patna went viral, sparking widespread outrage. Kumar pulled down the doctor's veil while handing her an appointment letter, prompting laughter from some officials present. Opposition parties demanded his resignation, and the incident drew international criticism.
HÜDA PAR pointed to broader systematic oppression: laws criminalizing conversions to Islam, mosque demolitions, property confiscations, and citizenship deprivation for millions. It criticized the international community's silence and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's ineffectiveness, concluding that a "new and strong international organization" with sanctioning power is urgently needed to protect Muslim rights globally.
HÜDA PAR's comprehensive statement reflects its consistent advocacy for Palestinian solidarity, Muslim unity, and opposition to perceived global injustices, positioning public pressure as key to change amid escalating regional and international tensions. (ILKHA)
