The Hamas Movement has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's continued airstrikes against civilians across the Gaza Strip, describing them as part of a systematic campaign of aggression and a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles.

In a statement issued on Monday, Hamas said the intensified bombardment targeting residential areas and civilians reflects Israel's ongoing policy of collective punishment and forms part of what it described as a broader campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people.

The Movement stressed that despite the relentless attacks, the Palestinian people remain steadfast in defending their homeland and their legitimate national rights.

"The ongoing massacres and crimes committed by the Israeli occupation will only strengthen our people's determination to remain on their land, defend their rights, and preserve their dignity, freedom, and right to life," the statement said.

Hamas further affirmed that Palestinians would continue resisting what it called Israeli plans to Judaize occupied Palestinian territories, expand illegal settlements, and annex more land in an effort to forcibly displace the indigenous population from their homeland.

The Movement also urged international mediators, countries guaranteeing the ceasefire agreement, and the United Nations to take immediate and effective measures to halt what it described as Israel's ongoing aggression and repeated violations of the ceasefire.

Hamas called on the international community to move beyond statements of condemnation and compel Israel to end its military campaign, lift the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and stop what it described as policies of killing, starvation, and collective punishment targeting more than two million Palestinians.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from Israel's military offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has climbed to 73,283 Palestinians, while 173,864 others have been wounded, with thousands more believed to remain trapped beneath the rubble or inaccessible due to continued bombardment.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli occupation forces have continued violating the ceasefire agreement for the 284th consecutive day, carrying out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and live-fire attacks across various areas of the enclave while expanding the so-called "Yellow Line," a move Palestinians say further tightens Israel's control over territory inside Gaza and deepens the humanitarian crisis.

Palestinian officials and resistance factions have repeatedly warned that the continued military escalation, coupled with the blockade and restrictions on humanitarian aid, is worsening the catastrophic humanitarian conditions facing civilians in the besieged enclave, while calling for urgent international action to ensure accountability and protect the Palestinian population.
