Hezbollah calls for mass participation in funeral of martyred leaders

Hezbollah’s Deputy Executive Council Chairman, Sheikh Ali Daamouch, has called for a massive and unified turnout at the funeral procession of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine on Sunday.
He urged supporters to make the event an exceptional display of solidarity and commitment to the Resistance.
Speaking on the eve of the funeral, Sheikh Daamouch described the day as one of loyalty, allegiance, and dedication to the martyrs.
"Our presence at their funeral is a tribute to them," he stated, calling on people from every home, village, and city to participate and send a strong message that the Resistance remains unshaken despite Israeli attempts to weaken it.
Sheikh Daamouch stressed that participants must refrain from firing gunshots into the air, emphasizing that such acts would be disrespectful to the sanctity of the occasion.
He also recalled past sacrifices made by Hezbollah’s key figures, including Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Sayyed Abbas al-Mousawi, reinforcing that martyrdom has always been part of the Resistance’s struggle.
Addressing Hezbollah’s stance, Daamouch underlined that the loss of leaders and fighters is a natural consequence of the battle and will only strengthen the movement’s determination.
"The martyrdom of our leaders does not signal an end but rather a continuation of our fight," he asserted, reaffirming that the Resistance remains resolute in defending Lebanon, its people, and the wider Ummah.
He also issued a direct warning to Israel, stating that if the occupation entity believes targeting Hezbollah’s leadership will weaken the group, it is mistaken.
"The Resistance will remain steadfast, and Israel will not succeed in eliminating it," he emphasized.
Beyond the Resistance, Sheikh Daamouch affirmed that Lebanon will remain a land of national unity and civil peace, rejecting any possibility of Israeli influence or division within the country.
"Lebanon, which has sacrificed its greatest leaders as martyrs, will never be a foothold for the Zionists, nor will it ever be divided," he declared.
Meanwhile, local sources in Beirut reported that preparations for the funeral procession have been completed, with Hezbollah expecting a massive turnout for the event.
The funeral is set to be a pivotal moment for the Resistance, reinforcing its commitment to its cause despite recent losses. (ILKHA)
