Iran’s armed forces declare full readiness amid rising regional tensions

Iran’s top military commander, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has affirmed that the nation’s armed forces are at the highest level of preparedness to confront any future aggression, stressing Iran’s determination to defend its sovereignty and respond decisively to hostile threats.
During an inspection tour of the Army’s naval and IRGC naval forces in southern Iran, General Mousavi reviewed the combat readiness of surface, subsurface, commando, and aviation units, alongside operational divisions of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy.
“This strategic force enjoys complete combat readiness at sea, on land, and in the air,” Mousavi told naval personnel, underlining that Iranian forces are fully equipped for both defensive and offensive missions. He added that all operational plans are regularly updated and rehearsed to ensure swift and effective responses in any potential conflict.
Addressing IRGC Navy personnel, General Mousavi praised their “faith, motivation, knowledge, experience, and revolutionary spirit,” noting that such qualities guarantee “one hundred percent readiness” in the face of any threat. He described the IRGC Navy as a formidable shield against any aggressor, with capabilities that extend across all domains of warfare.
The visit comes in the aftermath of the 12-day war of aggression launched by Israel and backed by the United States in June, which targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities and resulted in the martyrdom of more than 1,064 Iranians, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
In retaliation, Iran’s armed forces carried out precise missile strikes on strategic Israeli sites within the occupied territories as well as the U.S.-operated Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest American military installation in West Asia. By June 24, the Iranian response had effectively halted the aggression, marking what officials described as a strategic failure for Tel Aviv and Washington.
Reflecting on the swift advances made since that conflict, Mousavi said: “What we witnessed today was extraordinary preparedness for a possible confrontation,” emphasizing that the progress of Iran’s defense capabilities reflects the nation’s unwavering commitment to sovereignty and self-reliance.
Iranian officials continue to highlight the country’s military resilience and deterrence power, portraying the armed forces as a bulwark capable of defending the nation’s territorial integrity and countering any regional threats. (ILKHA)
