Iran unleashes “Haj Qasem” missile in powerful strike against Israeli targets
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it has successfully deployed its new “Haj Qasem” ballistic missile for the first time in a fresh wave of strikes against Israeli targets.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the advanced precision-guided missile—named in honor of the martyred commander Qassem Soleimani—was used as part of a broader operation targeting strategic sites in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beit Shemesh.
The IRGC described the operation as a calculated and legitimate response to the ongoing joint aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime, emphasizing that the strikes were aimed at military and strategic positions.
In addition to targets inside occupied territories, the IRGC stated that U.S. military installations across the region were also hit, including bases in Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq—highlighting the widening scope of the confrontation.
The operation reportedly involved a coordinated barrage of drones and multiple advanced missile systems, including the Ghadr, Emad, and Fattah models. Iranian officials warned that further waves of attacks are imminent if hostilities continue.
Military sources noted that the “Haj Qasem” missile is a road-mobile, solid-fuel medium-range ballistic missile with a range of approximately 1,400 kilometers, designed to strike high-value and fortified targets with high precision.
The developments come as the U.S.-Israeli assault on Iran entered its 18th consecutive day, with Iranian authorities reporting significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction caused by sustained airstrikes.
In response, Iran has demonstrated its strategic deterrence capabilities, with actions that have effectively disrupted maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz—a critical global energy corridor—sending a clear message about the consequences of continued aggression.
Analysts say the latest operation reflects Iran’s firm resolve to defend its sovereignty and regional stability, while signaling that any escalation will be met with decisive and proportionate force. (ILKHA)
