Two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in a series of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, while another Palestinian died from injuries sustained in an earlier strike, according to local media and medical sources.

Israeli aircraft reportedly fired three missiles at a vehicle in the al-Birka area of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, killing two people and injuring seven others.

The Gaza Interior Ministry identified the two victims as Wael al-Laddawi, director of the Internal Security Service in the central governorate, and his escort, Ramez Abu Zureiq, stating that they were killed in what it described as an assassination attack.

In a separate development, medical sources announced that Suleiman Sahmoud succumbed to injuries he sustained in an Israeli strike near Street 5 in Khan Yunis on Saturday.

Elsewhere in northern Gaza, a young girl was injured after Israeli forces reportedly opened fire near the Jabalia Martyrs Healthcare Center.

Residents and local sources also reported extensive Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip throughout Sunday. The activity included airstrikes, artillery bombardment, live-fire incidents, and the demolition of buildings in several areas, adding to the destruction caused by months of ongoing hostilities.

The latest attacks come amid continued Israeli military operations across the besieged enclave, where repeated strikes and ground operations have resulted in mounting casualties and widespread devastation.
