Israeli drone strike kills one, injures five in Tulkarm refugee camp

An Israeli occupation drone bombed a house in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood of Nour Shams camp, east of Tulkarm, on Sunday, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Saeed Izzat Jaber and injuring five others.
The attack occurred in the early hours and targeted a residential building in the densely populated refugee camp. According to local sources and eyewitnesses, several injuries were reported following the drone strike. The Ministry of Health confirmed that among the injured, two were in serious condition.
The bombing led to an immediate response from Red Crescent ambulance crews, who rushed to the scene but faced difficulties entering the targeted house due to an outbreak of fire. Civil defense teams worked alongside local residents to extinguish the flames and search for additional casualties under the rubble.
The explosion also caused significant damage to nearby homes in the narrow Al-Manshiya neighborhood. Shrapnel injured several residents, including children and women who were inside their homes at the time. Medical teams on the scene provided necessary treatment to the injured.
This incident marks the second assassination attempt on Jaber. On June 2, he survived an attack when an Israeli occupation drone fired a missile at his vehicle near a gas station in Nour Shams camp. That attack did not result in any injuries or damage.
With Jaber's death, the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Tulkarm since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 114.
Local residents and humanitarian organizations have condemned the ongoing violence, calling for immediate international intervention to prevent further escalation and protect civilians in the affected areas. (ILKHA)
