Israeli forces kill 11, including 8 children, in latest Gaza City massacre

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed another massacre in the besieged Gaza Strip on Sunday evening, killing at least 11 Palestinian civilians — including eight children — in a brutal artillery attack on Al-Nakheel Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City.
Medical and local sources confirmed that the shelling, which struck a residential area near a local bakery, left multiple others critically injured. The Palestinian Civil Defense teams recovered six bodies, three of them children, from the rubble and provided emergency care to several wounded civilians in the aftermath of the assault.
Eyewitnesses described a horrific scene, with families torn apart and children's bodies strewn across the street. The bakery had reportedly been a gathering point for residents seeking bread amid worsening humanitarian conditions and widespread food scarcity.
This attack forms part of a broader, full-scale offensive that the IOF has continued for 21 consecutive days, targeting residential neighborhoods, displaced populations, and civilian infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip. Since dawn on Sunday alone, more than 40 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds injured in a series of aerial and artillery assaults across multiple locations.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israel’s resumed offensive since March 18 has claimed 1,335 lives and left at least 3,297 people wounded. The cumulative toll since the beginning of the genocidal war on October 7, 2023, now stands at a staggering 50,695 martyrs and 115,338 injuries.
Rights groups and humanitarian agencies have repeatedly condemned Israel's actions in Gaza as war crimes and crimes against humanity. The targeting of civilian areas, including homes, bakeries, hospitals, and shelters, has drawn increasing international scrutiny — though calls for a ceasefire and protection of civilians have largely gone unheeded by the occupying power.
Despite the scale of the destruction and loss of life, Palestinian civil society continues to display resilience, as local emergency workers, volunteers, and medical staff race against time to rescue survivors, bury the dead, and deliver basic necessities under the shadow of continuous bombardment.
