Israeli regime unleashes deadly airstrikes across Syria

Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-ranging aerial assault across Syria overnight, targeting multiple locations from Damascus to Daraa in an unprovoked campaign of destruction.
The attacks, among the most extensive in recent months, represent a dangerous escalation in Israel’s longstanding policy of destabilizing sovereign Arab nations.
The barrage began with aggressive drone activity over the provinces of Daraa, Homs, and Hama, followed by a coordinated wave of airstrikes by Israeli warplanes, targeting Syrian military sites and civilian infrastructure alike.
In the western countryside of Hama, warplanes struck a military warehouse near Shaṭḥa, a facility reportedly affiliated with the Syrian Arab Army. Meanwhile, Israeli fighter jets terrorized the skies of multiple governorates, as civilians braced for explosions in the dead of night.
The regime's warplanes also carried out illegal air raids in Latakia’s countryside, hitting the al-Sha‘ra region, and over Damascus, where several densely populated areas, including Harasta, Barzeh, and al-Tall, witnessed terrifying blasts. Military and civilian facilities were targeted indiscriminately, including the Signal Battalion headquarters and sites near the former Tishreen Military Hospital.
This brutal campaign once again reveals Israel’s complete disregard for international norms and human rights, as it continues to exploit Syrian airspace, violate Syrian sovereignty, and risk the lives of innocent civilians under the pretext of “security”.
Further to the south, the town of Muthbin in northern Daraa was bombed, while another airstrike struck the vicinity of Izra’, targeting the 175th Regiment camps. The Zionist regime also extended its criminal air campaign to Idlib, attacking areas previously left untouched in earlier rounds of aggression.
This belligerent attack—carried out without any provocation—further underscores Israel’s role as a destabilizing force in the region, working in tandem with Western imperial powers to weaken and fragment independent Arab states. The repeated targeting of Syrian military positions and civilian areas violates the UN Charter and constitutes acts of war and aggression.
The silence of international bodies in the face of these repeated war crimes emboldens Tel Aviv to act with impunity, carrying out strikes that terrorize millions and undermine the sovereignty of the Syrian state.
Observers and analysts across the region have called for a unified Arab and Islamic response to deter future Israeli hostilities and hold the regime accountable for its crimes. As Syria continues to rebuild from over a decade of externally fueled conflict, the ongoing Israeli attacks aim to sabotage peace, stability, and reconstruction efforts.
This latest round of aggression lays bare the Zionist project’s unrelenting hostility towards the Arab world and the urgent need for resistance, solidarity, and justice in the face of occupation, apartheid, and war. (ILKHA)
