Jenin under fire: 34 days of Israeli aggression leave 27 Palestinians dead

The Israeli occupation's brutal assault on Jenin city and its refugee camp has now entered its 34th consecutive day, leaving a trail of death, injury, and immense destruction.
At least 27 Palestinians have been killed, dozens more injured, and countless others detained in a relentless campaign that has devastated the local population and their homes.
Israeli forces intensified their attack overnight, storming the town of Qabatiya, located south of Jenin, where they used bulldozers to destroy streets and vital infrastructure. They also imposed a blockade on the road leading into Jenin city, leaving it isolated and vulnerable. Snipers have been deployed on rooftops, targeting any movement, as Israeli forces raided homes and subjected residents to harsh interrogations.
The situation inside the Jenin refugee camp is even more dire. In the western part of the camp, Israeli forces surrounded homes with barbed wire and forcibly evacuated the residents, leaving them homeless and without protection. The scale of the destruction is evident, with Israeli bulldozers destroying entire neighborhoods, demolishing homes, and altering the geography of the camp to make way for military operations. Around 120 homes have been completely leveled, with many others partially destroyed, while the displacement and trauma faced by the local population grow by the day.
The Israeli occupation continues its daily raids and detentions across Jenin, with nearly 160 individuals detained, including men, women, and children. Many homes have been seized and turned into military outposts, placing the lives of residents at even greater risk. Snipers positioned in surrounding buildings make it dangerous for people to leave their homes, forcing families to live in constant fear.
This ongoing assault represents a clear violation of international law, as Israel escalates its campaign of terror against the people of Jenin. The Palestinian people continue to resist this violence, but they urgently need the world to recognize their plight and intervene to stop the destruction and protect the lives of innocent civilians.
