Lukashenko: The Union State of Belarus and Russia is a top priority for Belarus

Belarus and Russia signed agreements on Thursday that focus mainly on economic and regulatory issues, including common policies on taxation, banking, industry, agriculture and energy.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the integration measures during a meeting in Minsk of the bilateral Supreme State Council for the union state.
“Together we have created a unique integration model, thanks to which equal rights of Belarusians and Russians are secured and economic interaction advances. We actively cooperate in various areas and are intent on further expanding Union State integration. We protect the historical and moral values that our brotherly nations share,” Lukashenko said on Thursday at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, held as a video conference.
On the other hand, Belarus opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya said no agreements reached by Lukashenko would be valid.
“Belarusians don't know the content of the integration roadmaps discussed between Moscow & Minsk. In 2020 our people denied authorization for Lukashenka to sign anything on their behalf. In new Belarus, all documents & agreements signed by the illegitimate regime will be revised,” Tsikhanouskaya said on Twitter. (ILKHA)
