Muslim Brotherhood: Gaza people remain steadfast three years after Al-Aqsa Flood
Muslim Brotherhood Deputy General Guide Dr. Salah Abdulhaq called for continued support for the Palestinian cause in a message marking the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, saying that Gaza residents are holding on to patience and their faith despite being left alone by many.
Abdulhaq issued a written statement on the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, drawing attention to the difficult conditions faced by Palestinians in Gaza.
"Our brothers in Gaza are holding on to the fire of patience. Although those near and far have abandoned them, they continue to remain committed to Allah's promise," Abdulhaq said.
He stated that the situation experienced by Palestinians demonstrates the importance of patience, faith and solidarity for Muslims.
"This historic stage requires unwavering certainty and firm faith in Allah's promise, regardless of the weakness or tightening of the siege that may appear on the surface of events," Abdulhaq said.
"Al-Aqsa Flood brought the Palestine issue back to global attention"
Stating that Al-Aqsa Flood strengthened the position of the Palestine issue in global public opinion, Abdulhaq said the operation brought the cause back to the centre of attention.
"The Flood returned the cause to a central position in the consciousness of peoples and placed an issue that everyone thought could be overcome back on the table of regional politics," he said.
Commenting on the position of the occupation regime in the region, Abdulhaq said, "The occupying entity has returned to its real position as an obvious threat to the region."
"We must continue our efforts for Palestine"
Calling on Muslims to maintain their support for Palestine, Abdulhaq stressed that solidarity should not end as the issue loses attention on the global agenda.
"Our responsibility has increased more than ever. Even when people turn to other issues and the wheels of life carry them away, we must continue solidarity in all its forms," he said.
Stating that the Palestinian cause should not only be viewed through images of war and destruction, Abdulhaq said, "What motivates a Muslim is not only scenes of blood. Before that comes the essence of belonging."
"The Palestinian people have the right to resist occupation"
Abdulhaq emphasized the justice of the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.
"The Palestinian cause is just. The Palestinian people have the right to resist occupation and defend their land and their existence there. As governments, institutions, intellectuals and peoples, the entire Islamic world has the responsibility to support this right and provide what is necessary for it," he said.
Call for regional stability
Abdulhaq also called for reducing tensions among countries in the region, arguing that a system based on military dominance poses a major threat.
"The stability of the region requires establishing a regional balance based on realistic understandings among its main countries, limiting mutual conflicts and preventing the exhaustion of resources," he said.
Stating that internal conflicts in regional countries should not be resolved through weapons, Abdulhaq said such disputes should be ended through national solutions that eliminate their heavy humanitarian, economic and security costs.
"Sectarian tensions must not be encouraged"
Addressing sectarian tensions, Abdulhaq said preventing sectarian polarization in the Islamic world and rejecting the use of sectarian identity in political conflicts is a responsibility of all Muslims, especially scholars.
"The prevention of sectarian polarization in the Islamic world and the rejection of using sectarianism in political conflicts is the responsibility of all forces of the Ummah, especially scholars," he said.
"Renew your confidence in your cause"
In the final part of his message, Abdulhaq called on Muslims to prepare, remain patient and trust in Allah's promise, emphasizing that change begins with individuals themselves.
"Gather your strength, renew your confidence first in Allah's promise, then in your cause and yourselves. Stay away from worldly distractions that prevent you from reaching the great goal," Abdulhaq said.(ILKHA)
