Palestinian Health Ministry: 1,007 killed by Israeli violations since ceasefire began
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Thursday that two more Palestinians were killed and eight others injured in the past 24 hours due to ongoing Israeli military attacks across the Gaza Strip, despite the fragile ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Since the ceasefire began, Israeli forces have killed 1,007 Palestinians, injured 3,165, and enabled the recovery of 784 bodies from areas previously rendered inaccessible by destruction and bombardment. These figures bring the total death toll from Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza — launched on October 7, 2023 — to 73,018 killed and 173,273 wounded.
Many victims remain trapped under rubble, with rescue teams struggling to reach them due to persistent Israeli restrictions and attacks on civilian areas.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israeli occupation forces continued their violations on Thursday morning, carrying out home demolitions and opening fire on civilians in multiple areas.Local sources reported that Israeli military vehicles conducted a large-scale demolition operation east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, accompanied by heavy gunfire. In central Gaza, Israeli naval vessels fired toward the coast of Al-Zawayda, terrorizing residents and displaced families sheltering along the shoreline.
Israeli forces have repeatedly breached the ceasefire through airstrikes, artillery shelling of civilian areas, demolition operations inside Gaza, and severe restrictions on the movement of humanitarian aid, goods, and people.
These relentless violations have undermined the fragile truce and continued the collective punishment of the Palestinian population, exacerbating the already catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The Palestinian Health Ministry emphasized that ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face life-threatening difficulties while attempting to reach the wounded and recover the dead, as Israeli forces maintain pressure on civilian infrastructure and access routes.
This latest bloodshed underscores the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people and the urgent need for international intervention to enforce the ceasefire and hold Israel accountable for its repeated violations and crimes against civilians. (ILKHA)
