Putin and Aliyev discuss strengthening Azerbaijan-Russia relations in phone call

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a phone conversation on Thursday, the Kremlin announced.
The call focused on the recent state visit of President Putin to Azerbaijan, which both leaders hailed as successful.
They expressed optimism about further strengthening the partnership and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Russia through the implementation of agreements reached during the visit.
The discussion also covered the current situation in the South Caucasus, with Putin affirming Russia’s readiness to support peace efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
