Russia says overnight strikes targeted Ukrainian military and logistics infrastructure
Russian forces carried out overnight drone strikes targeting military logistics, energy infrastructure and port facilities in three regions of Ukraine, Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Monday
In a statement, the ministry said Russian forces struck a drone storage facility and an electrical substation supplying enterprises linked to Ukraine’s defence industry in the Kharkiv region.
It added that another electrical substation supporting logistics infrastructure was targeted in the Khmelnytskyi region.
In the Odesa region, Russian forces struck loading and unloading infrastructure at three terminals in the Port of Chornomorsk, according to the statement.
The ministry also said four military warehouses and a cargo vessel transporting military supplies to the Port of Odesa were hit during the operation.
Moscow described the targeted facilities as part of Ukraine’s military logistics network, which it said supports the transportation and storage of military equipment. The ministry said the strikes were part of Russia’s ongoing campaign against military and logistics infrastructure in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities reported that overnight Russian attacks injured civilians in the Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv regions. Local officials also reported damage to energy infrastructure in parts of western and southern Ukraine.
The claims by the two sides could not be independently verified.
The attacks come as Russia and Ukraine continue to exchange long-range drone and missile strikes, with fighting persisting across multiple fronts despite ongoing efforts to address the conflict. (ILKHA)
