Russian Defense Minister claims Ukraine lost nearly 500,000 soldiers since 2022
In a recent Defense Ministry meeting, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu revealed that Ukraine has suffered significant military losses since the onset of the special military operation in 2022.
According to Shoigu, the Ukrainian armed forces have lost almost half a million military personnel.
"The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to almost half a million military personnel since the beginning of the special military operation," said Shoigu.
The minister also provided details on the military equipment that Russia has reportedly downed. The list includes more than 22,000 drones, 37 balloons, about 6,000 MLRS shells, nearly 900 aeroplanes and helicopters, and approximately 1,000 missiles.
