Turkish FM Fidan holds talks with Qatari PM, US negotiators on Iran
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held separate telephone conversations with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and U.S. negotiators to discuss developments related to Iran.
According to sources from Türkiye's Foreign Ministry, the talks focused on the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, with the parties exchanging views on the latest developments in the diplomatic process.
Fidan said Türkiye hopes the negotiations will be concluded as soon as possible and lead to a lasting peace.
He also reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a negotiated outcome.
The contacts come as regional and international actors continue efforts to advance dialogue between Washington and Tehran through diplomatic channels.
Qatar has played an active role in facilitating communication and mediation efforts in recent years, while Türkiye has repeatedly expressed support for dialogue and peaceful solutions to regional disputes.
