Turkish President Erdoğan arrives in UAE for World Climate Action Summit at COP28
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the World Climate Action Summit, a key component of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), hosted in Dubai.
Erdoğan received a warm welcome at the Al Maktoum International Airport from Vice President Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE. Türkiye’s Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Tugay Tunçer, Consul General in Dubai Onur Şaylan, and other officials were also present to greet the Turkish delegation.
Accompanying President Erdoğan are First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki, as well as Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
The visit to the UAE comes ahead of the World Climate Action Summit, where world leaders and experts will convene to address critical climate issues. COP28 serves as a platform for discussions and collaborations aimed at mitigating the impact of climate change on a global scale.
