Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan affirmed Türkiye’s commitment to supporting Gaza and promoting stability in the region during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku on Saturday.
Addressing the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel, Fidan stressed the importance of ending the 15-month-long hostilities.
"It is important for us to end the 15-month-long conflict between Hamas and Israel. We hope that the ceasefire will continue and there will be no impediments to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Türkiye will do its utmost in this direction," Fidan stated.
The Turkish foreign minister also emphasized Türkiye’s role in aiding the region’s recovery and fostering long-term peace. "Afterward, we will try to ensure the normalization process in the region. We will continue to provide humanitarian aid," he added.
The press conference highlighted Türkiye’s proactive diplomatic efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and contribute to regional stability. (ILKHA)
