Two pilots killed in Argentina plane crash
A tragic accident occurred at San Fernando Airport when a Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft crashed into a residential building during its landing attempt.
The incident, which took place around midday on December 18, resulted in the deaths of both the pilot and co-pilot, the only occupants of the plane.
According to local reports, the aircraft overshot the runway before colliding with a house. Witnesses and local media, including Clarin, noted that the plane seemed to lose control upon approach. In a last-ditch effort, the jet attempted to accelerate as if to take off again, but instead veered off the runway at high speed, leading to the catastrophic crash.
The aftermath saw the plane engulfed in flames, confirming the unfortunate demise of the pilot and co-pilot. No further injuries were reported on the ground.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by aviation authorities. More details will be provided as they become available. (ILKHA)
