US warplanes strike Yemen as Washington deepens support for Israeli aggression in Gaza

The United States has once again intensified its aggression against the people of Yemen, launching a fresh wave of airstrikes on Sanaa province late Thursday, an open extension of its military and political support for Israeli regime’s genocidal war against the besieged Palestinians in Gaza.
Local sources reported that American warplanes carried out multiple raids targeting the districts of Al-Haymah Ad-Dakhiliyah and Manakhah, sowing fear and destruction in civilian-populated areas. The exact number of casualties and the scale of damage are still being assessed, but preliminary reports suggest significant infrastructural devastation.
The attacks come amid a rising wave of outrage across the region over US complicity in Israeli war crimes in Gaza, where over 51,000 Palestinians have been martyred since October 2023. The Yemeni people, who have long stood in solidarity with the Palestinian cause, have faced increasing aerial aggression from the US under the pretext of regional “deterrence.”
Analysts say the latest airstrikes in Yemen are part of Washington’s broader strategy to suppress voices of resistance and to pressure countries and movements that oppose Zionist hegemony in the region.
Yemeni political figures have strongly condemned the US strikes, calling them a blatant violation of sovereignty and an attack on a nation that has already endured a decade-long, Saudi-led war backed by Western powers.
“This escalation reflects the true face of American foreign policy — one of destruction, domination, and unwavering loyalty to Tel Aviv’s genocidal ambitions,” a statement from Yemen’s National Salvation Government declared.
Despite the aggression, Yemen’s defiance remains unshaken. Mass demonstrations have erupted in various provinces, with chants of solidarity for Gaza and firm rejection of foreign intervention echoing through the streets.
As Washington deepens its military footprint in the region, resistance voices warn that further escalation will only fuel anti-American sentiment and strengthen the unity of oppressed peoples standing against imperialism and occupation. (ILKHA)
