Yemeni forces strike back at US aggression in Red Sea

The Yemeni Armed Forces launched a bold and decisive counterattack against US military forces in the Red Sea region on Tuesday morning, deploying a barrage of missiles and drones to thwart an impending American assault on the Arab nation.
In a statement, Yemen’s military leadership accused the United States of militarizing the Red Sea and escalating its aggression against Yemen, holding the American aggressor fully accountable for the widening conflict.
According to the Yemeni Armed Forces, their operation successfully struck the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the northern Red Sea with two cruise missiles and two drones, marking the third such attack on the vessel in just 48 hours. Simultaneously, a US destroyer was targeted with a cruise missile and four drones. The statement highlighted the precision of the strikes, which threw the enemy into disarray, forcing several American warships to retreat northward and disrupting a planned air assault on Yemen.
“The enemy was struck by a state of confusion,” the Yemeni forces declared, vowing to continue targeting all hostile American and Israeli forces in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea until their aggression ceases. The operation underscores Yemen’s unwavering resolve to defend its sovereignty and support the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation, a cause the Yemeni people have championed since the Zionist regime unleashed its genocidal war on Gaza following Operation Al-Aqsa Storm on October 7, 2023.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to blocking Israeli-bound ships from passing through their declared zone of operations until the suffocating blockade on Gaza is lifted. “We are ready to confront any American and Israeli escalation in the coming hours and days,” the statement warned, signaling Yemen’s preparedness to escalate its resistance in solidarity with Palestine.
The latest Yemeni strikes follow a brutal wave of US and British airstrikes on Yemen over the weekend, which left dozens of civilians—mostly women and children—dead and injured. On Saturday night, American forces, under orders from President Donald Trump, bombarded Sana’a and the provinces of Sa’ada, al-Bayda, and Dhamar, with 47 airstrikes killing at least 31 people. The onslaught came hours after the Ansarullah resistance movement warned of retaliatory strikes against US naval assets in the region, a promise swiftly fulfilled by Tuesday’s operation.
Yemen’s defiance stands as a beacon of resistance against imperial aggression and in solidarity with Palestine, as the nation refuses to bow to the relentless assaults of the US and its Israeli ally. The Yemeni Armed Forces’ actions send a clear message: their fight will persist until justice is secured for both Yemen and the oppressed people of Gaza. (ILKHA)
