Türkiye and Belgium take step to boost defence industry cooperation
Turkish Ministry of National Defence has announced that an important step has been taken to strengthen cooperation between Türkiye and Belgium in the field of defence industry.
Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler held a bilateral meeting with Belgian Minister of Defence and Foreign Trade Theo Francken at the Ministry of National Defence headquarters. The meeting was followed by inter-delegation talks.
Following the discussions, a letter of intent was signed between the Ministry of National Defence of Türkiye, the Presidency of Defence Industries, and the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Belgium.
The signing ceremony was attended by Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler, Belgian Defence Minister Theo Francken, Head of the Presidency of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün, and Belgian National Armament Director Lieutenant General Bernard Phaleg.
The agreement is expected to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the defence industry sector.(ILKHA)
