Türkiye and Indonesia have signed a 2026–2027 Action Plan to strengthen cooperation in labour and social security, marking a new step in expanding ties between the two countries.

The agreement was signed during the first meeting of the Türkiye–Indonesia Interministerial Joint Working Commission, attended by Türkiye's Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan and Indonesia's Minister of Manpower Yassierli, along with delegations from both countries.

Experience to be shared in the world of work

Speaking after the meeting, Işıkhan said the action plan aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices in working life, labour markets, employment policies, and occupational health and safety.

He added that the initiative is expected to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two ministries and further enhance bilateral collaboration in the field of labour.

Describing Türkiye and Indonesia as two friendly nations with deep-rooted historical ties, Işıkhan said both countries remain committed to expanding cooperation across various sectors.

He expressed hope that the 2026–2027 Action Plan would further reinforce institutional ties and contribute to the continued development of bilateral relations. (ILKHA)
