Erdoğan reaffirms support for Libya in call with PM Dbeibah
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah to discuss bilateral relations and recent regional developments, the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications said Friday.
During the call, President Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye closely follows the developments in Libya and will continue to do its part to ensure peace and stability in the country.
Erdoğan underlined the importance of ongoing cooperation between Türkiye and Libya, particularly in the field of energy, noting that joint efforts will contribute to strengthening both nations’ economic resilience.
The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to protect their countries’ legitimate rights and interests in the Eastern Mediterranean through continued solidarity and coordination.
President Erdoğan further expressed Türkiye’s readiness to support efforts aimed at preserving Libya’s unity, territorial integrity, and lasting stability.(ILKHA)
