HÜDA PAR Foreign Relations Head Hüseyin İmir on Wednesday accused international institutions of failing to stop the war in Gaza, criticized U.S. policy in the Middle East, and said stronger measures were needed to end Israel's military campaign in the Palestinian enclave.

In a wide-ranging statement, İmir said international organizations had lost their credibility by failing to hold Israel accountable for its actions in Gaza, arguing that the current international system was unable to deter violations of international law.

"The world is moving toward a dangerous process of lawlessness where every unpunished act becomes a precedent for the next," İmir said, calling for comprehensive reforms of global institutions and mechanisms capable of imposing sanctions on those responsible for war crimes.

İmir also criticized ongoing U.S. military operations against Iran, noting that civilian infrastructure, including power plants, water facilities and bridges, had been targeted.

He said Washington's actions were aimed at reinforcing Israel's security and advancing strategic interests in the region, accusing the United States of expanding instability across the Middle East.

Turning to Gaza, İmir said Israel had continued its military operations despite ceasefire announcements, describing U.S.-backed ceasefire proposals as insufficient to halt the conflict.

He also criticized the inaction of guarantor countries, saying their failure to intervene had encouraged further violence.

Calling on the international community to maintain pressure over the situation in Gaza, İmir urged governments and international organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities toward Palestinians.

He argued that diplomatic efforts alone would not be enough to end the conflict, saying stronger measures were required to stop genocide in Gaza and the continued expansion of Israeli control over Palestinian territory.

"The only concrete solution against the committed crime of genocide and the ongoing land grabs is to take a military stance against the Zionists on the ground," İmir said.

Addressing developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, İmir also criticized the military presence of the United States, Britain and France in the region and rejected recent criticism of Türkiye by the European Parliament.

He said Türkiye was capable of protecting its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean and safeguarding the sovereignty of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), adding that no concessions should be made under pressure from Western countries.

İmir also warned that the main challenge facing Northern Cyprus was not military but cultural, arguing that the erosion of Muslim identity posed a greater long-term threat than security concerns.

He further criticized the spread of gambling and prostitution in Northern Cyprus, saying stronger efforts were needed to preserve the cultural and religious identity of Turkish Cypriots. (ILKHA)
