HÜDA PAR has welcomed the adoption by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) of a 12-article framework law aimed at establishing a legal foundation for the “Terror-Free Türkiye” process, while stressing that the next phase should be conducted with transparency, trust and determination.

HÜDA PAR said the “Bill on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion” has been positively received by a broad segment of society. The party said the distinction made between the “terrorism and violence problem” and the Kurdish issue, together with messages suggesting that lessons have been learned from the previous process, had created optimism about the current initiative.

HÜDA PAR emphasized that the process must be managed in a manner capable of eliminating doubts and concerns among all sections of society.

The party also drew attention to its own “Draft Law on Dissolved or Deemed Dissolved Terrorist Organizations,” which it said had been shared with political parties and submitted to the Assembly.

According to HÜDA PAR, ensuring the dissolution of the PKK and bringing the conflict environment to an end should be accompanied by broader legal measures aimed at preventing the emergence of new armed groups and establishing lasting social peace.

The party argued that its proposal provides a more comprehensive framework and expressed hope that its significance would become clearer as the process moves forward.

HÜDA PAR further called for steps to resolve the Kurdish issue on the basis of rights and justice, arguing that this would contribute to strengthening Türkiye’s internal cohesion.

The party said regional developments and historical experience make such an approach necessary.

It particularly stressed the need to distinguish between resolving the Kurdish issue and addressing what it described as the “terrorism and violence problem.”

“The solution of the Kurdish issue—which has continued for a hundred years and has become chronic in places due to racist and assimilationist policies—and the solution of the ‘terrorism and violence problem’ are different from each other,” the assessment said.

HÜDA PAR called for the necessary measures to be developed accordingly, while emphasizing that the continuation of the “Terror-Free Turkey” process should be based on transparency, mutual trust, determination and a comprehensive approach to social peace. (ILKHA)
