Pro-Palestinian rally in Şanlıurfa hails resistance and victory in Gaza

In the wake of the historic Gaza ceasefire agreement, supporters of the Palestinian cause gathered in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa for a spirited celebration of victory.
The event, organized by the Siverek Gaza Solidarity Platform, drew an enthusiastic crowd united in solidarity with Gaza and its people.
The gathering commenced with a press statement delivered by Sezai Çetin on behalf of the Siverek Gaza Solidarity Platform after the Isha prayer at the Abdulkadir Geylani Mosque. Addressing the crowd, Çetin hailed the steadfast resistance of Palestinian Muslims against decades of occupation and oppression by Israeli occupation forces.
“After the Aksa Flood, a glorious chapter in the just resistance of Palestinian Muslims against over 70 years of occupation and persecution, Gaza and its people have achieved a remarkable triumph,” said Çetin. He further denounced the genocide inflicted on Gaza over the past 15 months, enabled by imperialist Western powers and their collaborators, emphasizing the resilience and victory of Gazans despite overwhelming challenges.
Çetin also called on Muslims worldwide to intensify their support for Palestine. “We urge all Muslims who stand with Gaza to continue their unwavering support for Palestine and to boycott the products of the occupiers until the Zionist occupation is brought to an end,” he declared.
Following the statement, a convoy of vehicles adorned with Palestinian flags set out from the Khalid Bin Walid Mosque. The procession traveled through Yenişehir Neighborhood and Üçgen Park, filling the streets with chants of takbir and the resonant melodies of Palestinian anthems. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as participants expressed their solidarity and joy at this pivotal moment for Gaza.
The celebration in Siverek stands as a testament to the enduring support for the Palestinian struggle against oppression and the shared hope for a future free from occupation and injustice. (ILKHA)
