The Mediterranean turned into a "sea of death": 900 dead

It is stated that about 900 people lost their lives after the sinking of a carrying immigrant boat, which left a port 50 kilometers away from Libya's capital Tripoli.
It was stated that more people lost their lives in the Mediterranean in a refugee boat that departed from a port at a distance of 50 kilometers to Libya's capital Tripoli on Saturday.
A call for aid was made Saturday night between Italy and Libya, called Sicilian Route, and a Portuguese-flagged cargo ship responded to the call for help. When the Portuguese ship arrived in the region, the boat carrying the immigrants had sunk before putting the boats to the sea.
Italian officials estimate that there are 950 migrants on the boat, 200 of them are women and 50 of them are children. Up to now only 28 immigrants have been rescued and brought to the Sicily region of Italy. It is stated that the number of bodies rescued from the sea is 24.
Speaking to Italian officials, a refugee said that at least 250 people who had not enough money to stay on the deck were locked in the warehouse of the boat.
