Turkish President Erdoğan hosts TRNC President Erhürman in Ankara
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed TRNC President Tufan Erhürman at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on the occasion of the TRNC leader’s first foreign visit following his election.
President Erhürman was received with an official ceremony, during which Türkiye’s national anthem was played and the TRNC President inspected a guard of honor. The formalities underscored the close and historic ties between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Following the ceremonial reception, both leaders posed for photographs with members of the press before entering the Presidential Complex for bilateral talks.
The visit marks a significant step in strengthening diplomatic and political relations between Türkiye and the TRNC, with expectations that the discussions will focus on cooperation, regional developments, and ongoing initiatives benefiting both parties.
