Türkiye condemns Israeli Minister’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a sharp rebuke, condemning what it described as a provocative act by a member of the Israeli government who stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque earlier Wednesday.
In a strongly worded press release, Türkiye accused associates of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately attempting to heighten tensions in the region through this action.
The ministry’s statement also criticized the Netanyahu government for its recent announcements regarding the expansion of military operations in Gaza and the ongoing construction of illegal settlements in the West Bank. Türkiye labeled these moves as a “blatant disregard for international law” and evidence of Israel’s “complete detachment” from efforts to achieve peace.
Calling for decisive action, the Turkish Foreign Ministry urged the international community to intervene to safeguard sacred sites, curb further provocations, and halt Israel’s “expansionist policies driven by occupation.”
The statement reflects Türkiye’s growing concern over the escalating aggression of the Israeli government and its impact on regional stability. (ILKHA)
