In response to a question regarding the latest press release of the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hami Aksoy said:
"Following the crisis in March 2017, our expectations for normalization of relations between Turkiye and the Netherlands are well-known. In the wake of the events, the Dutch authorities were informed that return of the Dutch Ambassador to Ankara was not desired.
