HÜDA PAR highlights Islamic values as true path to eliminating violence against women
On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, HÜDA PAR’s Family Affairs Department stresses that true protection for women comes from Islamic values and family-centered principles, criticizing Western feminist and secular policies for failing to prevent violence.
HÜDA PAR’s Family Affairs Department highlighted the importance of Islamic principles and family structures in addressing violence against women in a statement released on November 25, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The statement suggested that Western feminist and gender-focused policies have failed to curb violence, pointing to persistently high rates of domestic abuse and sexual assault in countries that have implemented such frameworks for decades, including Scandinavian nations. By contrast, the party said, Islamic societies exhibit comparatively lower rates of violence, which it attributed to the enduring respect for women enshrined in Islamic teachings.
The statement criticized organizations advocating for women’s rights that, according to HÜDA PAR, misrepresent Islamic values and family life. It asserted that these groups, rather than protecting women, seek to weaken family structures and the social safeguards they provide, leaving women vulnerable to exploitation and objectification within capitalist systems.
HÜDA PAR emphasized that secular lifestyles and the erosion of Islamic social norms hinder effective measures against violence. The party underscored that, in Islam, women are regarded as sacred trusts, with motherhood granted a position of honor and divine responsibility. It warned that unless societies abandon Western-imposed models of womanhood and return to traditional values, restoring women to their rightful status remains unattainable.
The statement concluded with a call for societal reflection on policies affecting women, asserting that true protection, dignity, and respect for women can only be achieved by adhering to Islamic teachings and strengthening family-centered values. (ILKHA)
