Afghan envoy meets Turkish ambassador in Doha
Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Qatar, met with newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Doha Yakup Caymazoglu to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Türkiye.
According to a statement from the Afghan Embassy in Doha, the meeting focused on expanding political, economic and educational cooperation between the two countries.
The two diplomats also discussed investment opportunities and ways to make better use of existing capacities to increase bilateral trade, stressing the importance of further developing economic and commercial ties.
They exchanged views on recent regional developments and other issues of mutual interest, the embassy said.
The meeting comes as Afghanistan and Türkiye continue to explore opportunities to expand cooperation across political, economic and educational fields. (ILKHA)
