Afghanistan extends condolences to Indonesia after deadly earthquake
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its condolences to the government and people of Indonesia following the powerful earthquake that struck Flores Island and surrounding areas.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi conveyed Afghanistan’s sympathy to those affected by the disaster, expressing deep condolences over the loss of life and concern for those injured. He also wished the injured a swift recovery and offered prayers for patience and strength for the families of the victims during the difficult period.
The statement reflects Afghanistan’s solidarity with Indonesia as authorities continue to assess the impact of the earthquake and respond to those affected.
Balkhi’s message came as condolences and expressions of solidarity were issued following the powerful seismic event, which struck the Flores region and surrounding areas.
