A rally was held after Friday prayers at Kapu Mosque in Konya in support of the Palestine Convoy and the Palestinian people, as solidarity events were organized across Türkiye’s 81 provinces.

The gathering focused on the convoy’s continued wait at the Ibrahim Khalil Border Gate, with participants calling for the peaceful initiative to be allowed to continue its journey through legal and diplomatic channels.

The program began with a prayer led by Sami Yıldız, representing the Mahmut Sami Ramazanoğlu Education, Culture and Mutual Aid Association. Abdürrahim Arslan, representing the Enderun Education Foundation, then delivered the press statement.

Arslan said the Palestine Convoy had set out not to become part of a political confrontation, but to express solidarity with Palestinians and draw attention to the humanitarian situation.

He said discussions with the relevant authorities were continuing and called for the process to be concluded peacefully, with a clear and positive response that would allow the convoy to proceed.

Arslan said the convoy had pursued peaceful and legal avenues to resolve the situation, including official applications to the United Nations, European Union and European Parliament, as well as diplomatic contacts with the foreign ministries of participating countries.

Emphasizing that the convoy was not seeking privileges or special treatment, Arslan said its sole demand was to be allowed to continue its journey as a peaceful civilian initiative within the framework of the law.

“Our demand is not tension; it is a solution,” he said, stressing the organizers’ commitment to diplomacy, dialogue and legal mechanisms.

“We are maintaining our calm. We are maintaining our steadfastness. We are not departing from the legal ground,” Arslan said, adding that the convoy’s restraint reflected its desire to resolve the issue peacefully rather than escalate tensions.

He also said the difficulties facing the convoy should be viewed in the broader context of political and diplomatic pressures surrounding the Palestinian issue.

Arslan praised the determination of the convoy participants, saying their resolve had remained strong despite prolonged waiting and difficult conditions.

“As civil society organizations, we stand with them. We are following this journey. We are supporters of this will. We are witnesses to this responsibility,” he said.

He called on the relevant authorities to conclude the ongoing discussions, remove the obstacles facing the convoy and allow the initiative to continue its journey.

“The Palestine Convoy is not alone. Palestine is not alone,” Arslan said.
