Al-Qassam Brigades ambush Israeli forces in Khan Yunis

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that it had successfully carried out a complex ambush operation against Israeli occupation forces in the Khan Yunis region of southern Gaza, dealing a significant blow to the Israeli occupation military.
In an official press release, the Brigades stated: “We ambushed an Israeli force in a complex operation in Khan Yunis, resulting in deaths and injuries among the enemy troops.”
The statement confirmed that the operation involved a coordinated assault using explosive devices and heavy gunfire, catching the Israeli unit off guard.
As part of the escalation, Al-Qassam fighters also targeted and hit two Israeli Merkava tanks and a military bulldozer using the domestically-produced Yassin-105 anti-armor projectiles, east of Khan Yunis near the separation fence.
This operation marks a continued and determined resistance effort by Palestinian fighters on the ground as they confront a heavily armed occupation force. The ambush demonstrates the ongoing capability of the resistance to strike deep into Israeli military formations despite more than six months of brutal aggression and siege imposed on Gaza.
The Al-Qassam Brigades reiterated their commitment to defend the Palestinian people and homeland until the liberation of every inch of occupied territory. They affirmed that the resistance will continue to inflict losses on the invaders and will not relent in the face of Zionist oppression.
The Israeli military has not yet released a statement confirming the extent of its losses in the Khan Yunis ambush. (ILKHA)
