Azerbaijan officially seeks BRICS membership
Azerbaijan has formally submitted an application to join the BRICS economic bloc.
The announcement follows a high-level meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Baku.
The news was confirmed via an official BRICS social media post.
BRICS, currently comprised of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, has seen growing interest from other nations seeking to join the group. (ILKHA)
