Euro-Med: Israel’s state terrorism targets Palestinian existence

The Geneva-based Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has condemned Israel's recent military actions in the Gaza Strip, labeling them as genocidal and comparable to the tactics of terrorist organizations like ISIS.
The organization highlights the scale, methodical execution, and widespread impact of these actions, suggesting they surpass those of groups such as ISIS.
On April 3, 2025, Israeli forces reportedly detonated a robot packed with explosives in Gaza City's Shuja’iyya neighborhood, resulting in 21 Palestinian deaths and injuring approximately 100 others, predominantly women and children. This incident is part of a broader pattern, with at least 150 similar detonations in northern Gaza over recent months, leading to hundreds of civilian casualties and extensive destruction.
Earlier, on March 23, Israeli forces detained 15 Palestinian rescue workers from the Palestinian Red Crescent and Civil Defense, along with a United Nations staff member, executing them extrajudicially. Their bodies were discarded in a pit, and their ambulances destroyed. Euro-Med describes this act as exceeding the brutality of recognized terrorist groups, reflecting a deliberate intent to annihilate Palestinians both physically and psychologically.
According to Euro-Med's documentation, these actions have resulted in the deaths of at least 58,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, with over 120,000 injured and 39,000 children orphaned. The organization's field teams have gathered evidence of mass atrocities, including the deliberate targeting of civilians and infrastructure, suggesting a systematic campaign of extermination.
Euro-Med calls on the international community to fulfill its legal obligations by implementing concrete measures to protect Palestinian civilians, ensuring Israel's compliance with international law, and holding perpetrators accountable. The organization advocates for comprehensive economic, diplomatic, and military sanctions against Israel, including an arms embargo, cessation of political and military cooperation, asset freezes of implicated officials, travel bans, and suspension of trade privileges.
These developments occur amid ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, which have resulted in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction. Recent reports indicate that Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 97 people in the past 24 hours, with over 1,160 deaths reported since March 18.
The international community continues to grapple with responses to these allegations, as calls for investigations and accountability grow louder. (ILKHA)
