Israeli strikes kill at least four Palestinian civilians in Gaza

At least four Palestinian civilians were killed and several others wounded early Thursday morning as Israeli forces intensified artillery and air strikes across various regions of the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
Two civilians lost their lives when Israeli shelling struck a tent sheltering displaced families on al-Tina Street, south of al-Qarara town, northwest of Khan Yunis. A child was also killed in an artillery strike that hit the al-Amur neighborhood in the town of al-Fakhari, located east of Khan Yunis.
Another civilian was reported dead after Israeli forces shelled a displacement tent northwest of the city of al-Zahraa in central Gaza, bringing the day’s death toll to at least four.
Local sources reported that Israeli artillery continued its heavy bombardment of the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City. Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes launched multiple air raids on northern areas of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Further shelling was reported in Beit Lahia in the north, Abasan al-Kabira east of Khan Yunis, and the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
These attacks come amid the ongoing Israeli military campaign on Gaza that began on October 7, 2023. Since then, the offensive has resulted in more than 166,000 casualties, most of them women and children, and over 11,000 people remain missing under the rubble, according to Palestinian authorities.
International organizations continue to raise concerns about the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the besieged enclave, as displaced civilians face worsening conditions with limited access to shelter, food, and medical aid. (ILKHA)
