Gaza death toll rises to 73,231 as Israel's genocidal aggression continues
The death toll from Israel's ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,231 martyrs since October 7, 2023, according to figures released by Gaza's Health Ministry on Monday.
The ministry said the number of Palestinians injured during the Israeli military campaign has climbed to 173,686, reflecting the devastating humanitarian toll of nearly three years of continuous attacks on the besieged enclave.
In its daily update, the ministry reported that hospitals across Gaza received the bodies of seven martyrs over the past 24 hours, while 32 wounded Palestinians were admitted for treatment.
Health officials also confirmed that another Palestinian succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli attack, underscoring the continuing impact of previous bombardments.
The ministry said the figures illustrate the ongoing human suffering caused by Israel's military operations, with thousands of civilians continuing to face death, injury, displacement, and the collapse of essential services.
Despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli attacks have continued to claim Palestinian lives.
According to the Health Ministry, 1,108 Palestinians have been martyred and 3,578 others injured since the ceasefire entered into force, raising concerns over repeated violations that have prevented civilians from enjoying lasting security.
Palestinian officials and humanitarian organizations continue to warn that Gaza's healthcare system remains under immense strain, struggling to treat the growing number of casualties amid severe shortages of medical supplies, damaged infrastructure, and ongoing restrictions affecting humanitarian assistance.
The latest figures highlight the continuing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where Palestinians remain subjected to the consequences of Israel's prolonged military campaign, with calls growing for greater international action to halt the violence and ensure accountability for attacks against civilians.
