Gaza death toll rises to 74,618 as Israeli genocidal war continues
The death toll from Israel's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 74,618 since October 7, 2023, while the number of wounded has reached 175,920, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry on Wednesday.
In its daily report, the ministry said hospitals across the besieged territory had received the bodies of three Palestinians and 21 injured people over the previous 24 hours.
It added that the latest figures brought the overall number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Israeli war to 74,618, with another 175,920 wounded.
The ministry also reported that Israeli attacks have continued to claim Palestinian lives despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Since the truce came into force, at least 1,602 Palestinians have been martyred and another 5,794 injured in Israeli attacks, according to the ministry.
The health authorities have repeatedly warned that the actual death toll could be higher, as victims remain trapped beneath rubble and rescue teams face severe shortages of equipment and resources. (ILKHA)
