Hezbollah, the Lebanese armed group, announced on Sunday a series of strikes on an israeli post and a settlement near the border, in retaliation for recent aggression that resulted in the deaths of three Lebanese individuals in the past two days.

In a series of three statements, Hezbollah disclosed that it had carried out strikes, including the use of guided missiles, targeting the israeli settlement of Shtula and the Al-Raheb Israeli military site near the Lebanon-Israel border.

The first statement revealed that the Islamic Resistance had targeted an israeli post in the Shtula settlement with guided missiles. The action was described as part of a retaliation effort against zionist aggression. The unit responsible for the strike was associated with martyrs Ali Youssef Alaaddine and Hussein Kamal Al-Masri. Hebrew media later confirmed the strike on Shtula, reporting at least one Israeli killed and four others injured.

Hezbollah's second statement announced an attack by the Islamic Resistance Mujahideen on the Zionist post of Al-Raheb "with direct and appropriate weapons," in response to what was termed as Israeli brazen aggression on Lebanese border towns.

A third statement detailed that a guided missile directly hit an israeli Merkava at the Al-Raheb site, resulting in the death or injury of its crew members. The Israeli military confirmed that its soldiers stationed in northern Israel were fired upon.

Local sources in south Lebanon reported heavy israeli shelling on the Lebanese border towns of Ayta Al-Shaab and Ramie. Videos circulated on social media showed israeli shelling of Ayta Al-Shaab.

The exchange of hostilities marks an escalation in tensions along the Lebanon-israel border, with Hezbollah taking retaliatory measures following recent incidents that claimed the lives of Lebanese individuals.
