Hezbollah releases video highlighting domestic drone production capabilities
Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement has released a new video showcasing its domestic manufacturing capabilities for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), in an apparent effort to underline the group’s operational resilience amid ongoing tensions with Israel.
The video, titled “Proudly Made in Lebanon,” depicts fighters working inside what appears to be a concealed production facility equipped with industrial machinery, including welding tools, soldering equipment, and assembly stations. Footage shows personnel assembling components of what the group describes as one-way attack drones before transporting them to a storage area containing multiple similar UAVs.
Images of former Hezbollah leaders Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine are displayed inside the facility. The video concludes with the phrase “Proudly Made in Lebanon” accompanied by the Lebanese national anthem.
The release appears intended to emphasize Hezbollah’s claim of maintaining localized production and logistical independence despite regional conflict and repeated Israeli assertions that the group’s military capabilities have been significantly degraded.
Hezbollah has long stated that it developed an internal weapons production network focused on drones, rockets, and precision-guided systems. In previous speeches, the late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah described the movement as possessing domestically rooted infrastructure capable of sustaining operations under blockade or wartime conditions.
The video comes alongside separate footage published by Hezbollah purportedly showing the downing of an Israeli Hermes 450 reconnaissance drone over southern Lebanon.
According to the released footage, the operation involved aerial detection followed by the launch of a surface-to-air missile, which appears to strike the drone midair. The UAV is then seen descending after impact.
Hezbollah announced on April 30 that it had downed a Hermes 450 drone over Nabatieh, claiming the aircraft was conducting surveillance missions. Israeli military sources reportedly acknowledged the loss of the drone. Earlier, on April 24, Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for shooting down another drone of the same model over the al-Hosh area near Tyre. (ILKHA)
