Iran offers support to Pakistan in easing tensions with Afghanistan
Iran has expressed its readiness to assist Pakistan in resolving ongoing tensions with Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a phone call with his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday night.
During the discussion, the two ministers focused on the latest developments in bilateral relations and broader regional issues. Araghchi highlighted the longstanding and friendly ties between Iran and Pakistan, emphasizing Tehran’s commitment to strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.
The Iranian minister also expressed concerns over the current state of affairs between Afghanistan and Pakistan, stressing the importance of continued dialogue facilitated by influential regional partners to address differences and reduce tensions.
Dar provided an update on the latest negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, underscoring the critical need for peace and stability in the region.
