Iranian forces target US military bases across region in response to American aggression
Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Thursday that it had conducted precision strikes against key US military infrastructure in Jordan and Kuwait, in a legitimate response to ongoing US military aggression against Iran.
IRGC reported that Iranian forces targeted the early warning radar of the US C-RAM air defense system at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, along with a gathering point for American troops stationed at the facility. The operation formed part of Iran's broader campaign to neutralize US military capabilities used to launch attacks against the country.
The IRGC also confirmed the downing of a US MQ-9 drone over the city of Andimeshk in Khuzestan Province. Iranian officials said the unmanned aircraft had violated Iranian airspace and was destroyed following overnight US strikes on several locations along Iran's southern coastline.
Rejecting what it described as "hostile media propaganda," the IRGC dismissed reports alleging casualties or damage in Pakdasht, emphasizing that noises heard in the area were solely the result of Iranian air defense systems engaging aerial threats.
The Iranian army separately announced that it had launched a drone operation against the US-operated Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan.
According to the military, suicide drones successfully targeted the base's fixed radar installation, communications systems, and fuel storage facilities. The strike was carried out in retaliation for what Tehran described as the United States' attack on an Iranian army barracks in Iranshahr.
Iranian officials stressed that their military actions are aimed exclusively at American military infrastructure involved in offensive operations against the country.
Meanwhile, Iran's Crisis Management Headquarters confirmed that portions of Semnan Airport sustained damage during US airstrikes, while reassuring the public that residential neighborhoods throughout Semnan Province remained unaffected.
Iranian media also reported additional American attacks targeting areas near Khondab, southwest of Tehran. Fars News Agency said two explosions were heard following the strikes, while Al Mayadeen reported that US warplanes also targeted locations east and west of the capital, with a concentration of attacks in Hormozgan Province in southern Iran.
The overnight bombardment also included attacks on Bandar Abbas Port, the cities of Rask and Konarak in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Ahvaz, and areas surrounding Qeshm Island, highlighting Washington's continued military escalation against Iranian territory.
IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebi declared that Iranian military operations remain focused on dismantling US offensive infrastructure across the region, warning Washington against believing it can impose a prolonged war on the Islamic Republic.
"The enemy should not think that it is capable of continuing the current equation of the fighting and turning the war into a war of attrition," Mohebi said.
He emphasized that Iran possesses both the determination and the military capability to respond decisively to any act of aggression against its sovereignty.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) acknowledged conducting another wave of attacks against Iran, claiming to have targeted command centers, air defense systems, missile and drone infrastructure, and coastal surveillance facilities.
US President Donald Trump said that military operations against Iran "will continue until I say that's enough," while admitting that Iran "still has the ability to resist"—a remark viewed by many observers as an acknowledgment of Tehran's military resilience in the face of escalating American aggression.
